Personal Injuries *

If you have suffered personal injuries*, whether physical or psychological, as a result of the actions of another party, you may be entitled to claim compensation. The Injuries Board (formerly known as "PIAB") is generally the first step in the legal process regarding personal injury claims. Gilmartin Solicitors have comprehensive knowledge in dealing with this independent statutory board, from the initial submission of the claim through to the assessment or decision of the Board. In the event that the client is not satisfied with the award made by the Injuries Board, or if the Board are unable to make a determination due to the injuries and/or circumstances involved, we will issue the necessary court proceedings on your behalf.
*In contentious business, a solicitor may not calculate fees or other charges as a percentage or proportion of any award or settlement

Road Traffic Accidents *

The vast majority of personal injuries * cases arising out of road traffic accidents will be submitted to the Injuries Board for assessment. As outlined above, this may then lead to court proceedings in order to recover compensation for injuries and expenses incurred as a result of the road traffic accident. We will use our expertise and experience to obtain the most favourable outcome for each client.
